Kely de Picoli Souza

Academic Formation: Graduate on Biology at UNESP (1997), Master Degree (200) and Doctorate Degree (2005) on Physiology at USP. Postdoctoral Fellow on Molecular Biology at UNIFESP (2005-2008). College Teacher since 1998. Nowadays, Assistant Teacher of Human Physiology at UFGD (2008-),General Biology Post-Graduate Program Coordinator at UFGD. Advisor and permanent member of Post-Graduation Program on Biotechnology and Biodiversity and Health Sciences and member of Institute of Molecular Bioprospection and Bioassays at UFGD (Bioprospec). She has experience on Research (Physiology, Bioassays, Molecular Biology) and Education (SINAES-MEC Appraiser). Current Research: Bioassays applied to bioprospecting in health (metabolic syndrome, diabetes, obesity, dyslipidemias and oxidative stress). Topics addressed in her publications: early programming, thyroid hormone, angiotensin, kinins, ACE, GLUT, myoglobin, obesity, hypertension and diabetes. He has experience in: molecular biology, gene expression analysis, physiological and biochemical tests, determination of body composition and energetic balance. Marcelo Alves da Silva Mori

Academic Formation: Graduated on Biological Sciences (Medical Modality) at Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP, 2002). He obtained a PhD in Molecular Biology at UNIFESP (2007), with a degree at the Max-Delbrück Institute for Molecular Medicine (Berlin, Germany). Postdoctoral degree at Joslin Diabetes Center / Harvard Medical School (Boston, USA), where he still actively participates in some collaborative projects. He was recently hired by the Biophysics Department at UNIFESP to hold the position of Adjunct Professor and Researcher. In 2016, he assumed the position of PhD in Aging Biology on the Department of Biochemistry and Tissue Biology at the Biology Institute of the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). He has experience on Molecular Biology with emphasis on Metabolism, working mainly in the investigation of the molecular mechanisms associated with the Metabolic Syndrome and the aging process. He is current head of the Department of Biochemistry and Tissue Biology and Affiliated Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences.

Ronaldo de Carvalho Ara˙jo

Academic Formation: Graduate on Veterinary Medicine at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG, 1993) and on Sciences at Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais (1985), Master Degree on Biological Sciences (Physiology and Biophysics) at UFMG (1996) and Doctorate Degree at Max Delbruch Center in Berlin, Germany with a degree in Biological Sciences (Molecular Biology) at Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP, 2000). He is currently a professor in Biophysics Department at UNIFESP. He has experience on Biophysics.

 

Project: physical exercise, kinins, transgenic animals, kallikrein, inflammation and blood pressure.
